Job Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy is responsible for developing best-in-class marketing strategies for the company’s family of brands, products and solutions. This role will drive the overarching marketing strategy, lead the development and creation of support tools and manage the overall executional process of all supporting cross functional activities.


This individual is tasked with identifying areas of opportunity, extracting key information, formulating new and creative marketing solutions in support of business goals. They have a strong understanding of KPIs, their importance and are able to leverage this data to drive continuous improvement. This individual is tasked with organizing all Creative Briefing sessions, Kick-Off meetings, and Post Performance Meetings. They will generate Project Plans and own the integration process and master timeline. They will also be proactive in identifying and creating the tools needed to support the broader team in effectively and consistently going to market.


This role reports to the Senior Director Marketing & Communications, manages direct reports, and requires very close partnerships with the Corporate Affairs, Product Marketing, Sales, RFP and Training teams.


Essential Duties:

  • Craft strategic marketing plans using customer and consumer personas that produce measurable results.
  • Manage the high-level creative briefing process, focusing on the business needs and translating that information into marketing strategies.
  • Formulate effective go-to-market strategies by determining the right audience, the right message for that audience, and the right delivery system(s) for those messages.
  • Draft, continually update (client, cross-functional team members, leadership, etc.) and sell-in Project Plans that are actionable and measurable, both in the short and long-term.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team members and influence cross-functional team members, selling in recommendations, and building consensus for the desired marketing strategy, supporting tactics and deliverables.
  • Project manage all marketing integration activities owning master marketing calendar and ensuring the on-time delivery and consistency of all deliverables.
  • Work in partnership with the marketing team to develop marketing tools and assets to ensure the final execution is in alignment with the marketing strategy.
  • Utilize data to drive marketing decisions and identify appropriate KPIs in advance of launch. Provide ongoing actionable insights to cross functional team members (as appropriate) and create/provide final Performance Report to team members and leadership team.
  • Identify new capabilities to improve go to market performance and support the launch of new initiatives and programs; assess performance strengths and issues proactively and proactively recommend enhancements.
  • Research industry trends and work closely with Competitive Analyst team members to optimize and strengthen all marketing efforts.
  • Act as a thought leader, presenting and discussing ideas with intent to persuade, educate, and enhance marketing integration across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and report on business trends and insights related to competitors, products, solutions, and key happenings within the industry.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to increase the effectiveness of our marketing strategies to engage/support current customers/consumers and attract new customers/consumers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our brand, industry, partners, and products and act as internal brand ambassador and subject matter expert.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports overseeing their professional growth and development.

Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills:

  • Understands marketing strategy and tactics, has knowledge of various marketing channels/their role, and marketing integration best practices.
  • Project management skills and experience with working in PM tools.
  • Solid organizational and planning skills, including prioritization and time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and within tight deadlines - vigorous and thorough in the management of all project details.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, fosters growth with direct reports and inspires colleagues and peers to produce best in class work.
  • Data driven and analytical, while also being creative - continually thinking outside-the-box.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of the details but recognizes the “big picture,” and uses this information to drive decisions.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, team members, and agencies; effectively leads through collaboration; recognized as a team player.
  • Experience preparing and presenting effective post-performance and postmortem reports inclusive of KPI data to share across a wide audience base (team members and C-Suite) in an effort to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence all levels and functions within the organization to achieve results.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure, can excel and thrive in a high volume continuously changing, fast paced environment with a significant amount of ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrates a professional demeanor at all times.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 10 years of marketing, communications or project management experience to include; experience working with project management tools (such as Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, Box, Office Project)
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience leading marketing strategy and integration efforts.
  • Agency background
  • B2B, B2C and B2G experience

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.

Salary and Benefits:
