Job Purpose:

Support financial verticals from an operational, budgeting, reporting, and analytical capacity. Responsible for utilizing disparate operational and reporting systems to build a cohesive set of KPI reports to enable vertical leaders to manage their business. This position will play a key role in determining product and contract profitability and will be responsible for ensuring that each vertical achieves their financial objectives.


Essential Duties:

  • Conduct all financial related functions for each vertical. This includes monthly reporting pertaining to revenue, COS, and margin attainment in addition to SG&A reporting pertaining to budget variances;
  • Mine data from Workfront, Salesforce, GP, TM1, and other operating systems in order to clearly explain current results and provide a comprehensive forecast view for the verticals;
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Marketing, BI, and other departments to develop new and enhance existing reporting tools in order to ensure the vertical leaders have a 360 degree view of the different contributors driving financial and operational attainment.
  • Track wins, losses, initiatives, and other revenue impacting items in order to have clear visibility pertaining to changes impacting revenue;
  • Ensure Shared Services allocations are properly assigned to corresponding verticals and leaders understand what employees and costs are being assigned to each vertical;
  • Track Playbook Initiatives to ensure committed savings are being realized by each vertical;
  • Work with Finance, Accounting, and the BI team to ensure products and contracts reflect the correct margins;
  • Hold monthly Financial and Operational review meetings to discuss results for each vertical;
  • Update monthly financial package with vertical results;
  • Provide ad-hoc reports;
  • Provide variance analysis/detail backups to department leaders by researching in GP, TM1, Doclink, etc.;
  • Work with department owners on SG&A/headcount budget and upload to TM1;
  • Build and maintain budget models to help with uploading revenue and COS account line elements into TM1;
  • Create salary templates for each department rolling up to business unit;
  • Build SG&A templates and work with business owners to populate them correctly;
  • Upload and consolidate budgets for each vertical.

  • Highly motivated;

  • Good analytical and reporting skills;
  • Solid accounting/finance background;
  • Proficient in using Great Plains, SQL, and other data retrieval applications;
  • Advanced EXCEL skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis to include 3+ years of experience with information risk programs - working knowledge of information security controls and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, CsF, PCI-DSS

  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or equivalent demonstrated work experience and industry standard certifications
  • Telecommunications industry experience a plus;

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.
