Job Purpose:

The Financial Analyst II position will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the team by maintaining existing budgeting systems and developing new tools for enhanced budgeting capabilities. This position will be responsible for CAPEX reporting and will also help with building budgets for several companies and departments. The analyst will need to become a subject matter expert pertaining to the areas they support and also pertaining to the reporting tools used by the finance team.


Essential Duties:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Help prepare the monthly financial package using the TM1 reporting software
    • Package includes Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, CAPEX, Accounts Receivable, OPEX reporting, Headcount, and various operating metrics reporting.
  • Financial Modeling:
    • Work with various teams to build financial models to support existing and future corporate reporting structure
    • Become a SME pertaining how to allocate costs between companies and departments by using sophisticated methods to not only distribute costs between organizations but to also elegantly manage upload process
    • Maintain TM1 dimension structure pertaining to department rollups and vertical rollups
    • Ensure financial model for each business unit conforms to corporate standards
    • Utilize advanced analytical skills when evaluating business.
  • Capex Reporting:
    • Track Daily Capex entries (all companies) - Download Great Plains Smartlist, check PO/Invoice, ticket info, site info, AFCE and link to Capex project; classify each entry to correct business category
    • Run ad hoc AFCE report (from GP Smartlist) for financial engineering group
    • Monthly Open Ticket Report (for WIP accounting)
    • Provide monthly Capex reports by business unit
    • Provide Capex variance analysis and bridge for monthly financial review meeting
    • Work with various groups to refresh monthly Capex forecast by major categories;
    • Compile capital project inputs and build contract installation costs based on revenue info and bid models, etc. for budget.
  • Budget Responsibilities:
    • Prepare annual budgets for at least one organization
    • Create salary templates for each department
    • Build SG&A templates and work with business owners to populate them correctly
    • Upload and consolidate budgets for each subsidiary.

  • Highly motivated

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Solid accounting/finance background
  • Proficient in using GP, SQL, and other data retrieval applications Advanced EXCEL skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience to include budgeting, reporting, analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and or Advanced Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • MBA with solid accounting background
  • Telecommunications experience a plus
  • 5 years of experience in FP&A.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel
