Job Purpose:

Design and develop Call Processing, Text Messaging, Call Recording and Product Provisioning Software applications. Performs requirements gathering, design solution, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Analyze business requirements
  • Acquire required skillsets to implement solution
  • Write code to implement Call Processing software
  • Perform unit, functional, integration and performance software testing
  • Prepares software deployment packages for Pre-Production and Production
  • Resolve production issues
  • Enhance Existing Systems and new Development
  • Execute Project Strawman (high level work break down structure) to deliver project on time
  • Participate in Team Showcases to Business Partners Collaborate with Team members, QA, Architects, and Production Support to deliver projects within existing architecture.
  • Collaborate in providing Level of Efforts (LOE) for analysis, design and coding
  • Collaborate in Developing technical requirements and interface specifications
  • Participate in Team Showcases to Business Partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in software design, development, & unit testing with strong work ethic
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work individually with minimal guidance and desire to take ownership of deliverables
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Ability to work under different development methodologies – Agile, iterative
  • Ability to work with diverse teams
  • Ability to digest and understand larger systems and how features fit within the larger system
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good Problem solving, debugging, and application and code maintenance skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required in one of the following: Telecom, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field. May be relaxed with equivalent work experience proven certifications.
  • 3+ years of experience using one or more of the following languages/libraries: Java, Android SDK, AWS, Spring, Spring Boot, Restful Web Services, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular/Typescript, HTML, CSS, C++
  • Experience building the server side of enterprise level system

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience developing and running under Linux
  • 2+ years of front end (UI) development experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) or relational data bases (Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL)
  • Experience with GitHub/BitBucket
  • Experience Developing applications using Public/Private cloud platforms

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
